The Deacs prepare for the future by offering 2020 PG and SF as well as a 2021 SF

The Wake Forest coaching staff has been busy lately, this time offering three prospects out of New Jersey for 2020 and 2021. All 3 players are members of Team Rio, a member of the Under Armour Association league.

Noah Farrakhan is a 6-1, 160lb 2020 point guard prospect currently playing at St Benedict's Preparatory School in New Jersey. He already has competing offers, from Florida, VCU, VT, St. John’s, Seton Hall, and a few other schools. It appears to be too early for a star ranking, but we can assume with so many early offers that he will definitely be a highly recruited player.

Jabri Abdur-Rahim is a 6-5, 185 lb SF prospect that plays at Seton Hall Preparatory School in New Jersey. Along with Wake Forest, he has offers from Florida, Texas A&M, Rutgers and St. John’s. Like Farrakhan, it is too early for any kind of star ranking, but clearly Manning and the staff see potential for such an early offer.

Trey Patterson is a 2021 6-7 SF that currently plays at Rutgers Preparatory School. It’s a little difficult to find a lot of information on Trey, probably due to the fact that he is still in middle school. Obviously for the staff to offer someone that is still in the 8th grade they must have really seen something they liked.

The staff definitely seems to be trying to get a jump on the future of Wake Forest Basketball by offering prospects early. What are your thoughts on these offers?
