The Tar Heels have officially offered one of the top players in the 2018 class Monday night

After watching class of 2018 small forward Nassir Little recently, head coach Roy Williams has made up his mind.

Williams and the University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball program has officially offered a scholarship to the class of 2018 five-star recruit.

Little made it official, breaking the news via his Twitter account on Monday night. His AAU coach also confirmed the news.

Little becomes the latest player in the 2018 class to receive an offer from the Tar Heels as they are also pursuing some of the top players including Zion Williamson, Romeo Langford, Simisola Shittu and now Little.

The Tar Heels first started showing interest in Little back in the Fall of 2016 and Williams has kept a close eye on the prospect recently.  He played well in the Spring AAU session for 1FamilyHoop, despite missing a few games with an ankle injury.

Check out some highlights from Little:

Little raised his stock in the Summer AAU circuit and climbed into the top 10 on 247 Sports’ recruiting rankings list, landing at No. 7.

He’s still the No. 24 composite player in the class, but his recent surge is a positive sign.

The Tar Heels are just one of a handful of teams that have offered Little including Kansas, UCLA, Florida, Louisville, NC State, Miami and Georgia Tech among others. He currently has a visit lined up with Georgia Tech in August.
