Point guard Joel Berry shows fans his offseason weight gains via Instagram

University of North Carolina Tar Heels point guard Joel Berry is entering his senior year stronger than ever and that’s bad news for the rest of college basketball.

The reigning Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player appears to have bulked up over this summer in preparation for the upcoming season.

UNC will defend its national championship with Berry and fellow senior Theo Pinson returning to the team for their final seasons.

Berry showed off the gains via Instagram and it’s very noticeable.

As you can see, the muscle definition is there compared to the pictures from previous years.

Berry has definitely put on some muscle, adding weight to his body. Despite being listed at 6-foot, 194-pounds, Berry plays a physical style for a point guard.

Adding what seems to be all muscle is a big step in him getting even better for the 2017-18 season. It will also help him get bigger for the NBA, as he will likely continue to pursue his basketball career following his senior season.

Berry returns as the leader for a Tar Heels team that got their redemption in April. The floor general will certainly be the go-to guy in this UNC offense and will look to have another impressive season to add to his Carolina legacy.

He’s already one of the best point guards to play at a university that continues to churn out talent at the position. But what can he add to his legacy? Stay tuned.

The Tar Heels will tipoff against Northern Iowa on November 10th to open up their season.
