Game Recap

Boston College let a conference road win slip through their fingers. The Eagles were up by 1 point with under a minute to go but a pair of Reggie Jackson turnovers and a poor in-bounds pass by Joe Trapani proved to be their undoing. BC committed a staggering 18 turnovers in the game which negated their 55% shooting performance and 15-16 free throw shooting.

Despite the late turnovers Jackson played well shooting 6-7 for a team high 15 points. The star of the game for BC was Dallas Elmore. Elmore's contributions this season have largely gone unnoticed but he played some big minutes today and locked down one of the premier scorers in the conference in Malcolm Delaney. Delaney shot just 4-15 from the field. Elmore also chipped in with 10 points of his own.

Virginia Tech was held to under 40% shooting but their large advantages in transition buckets and points off turnovers allowed them to take an early lead in the first half.
