As you may have noticed, I like picking games against the spread. I stopped actually gambling a few years back (internet gambling restrictions and a family have a way of curbing that habit), but I still enjoy picking games just to see how I do.

There are two prediction models that I think are the best out there, Ken Pomeroy's (kenpom.com) and Jon Pence's (scacchoops.com). This year, going forward, my personal goal is to beat those models.

Jon keeps his predictions on his site after the games are over, so I can go back through and see how he would have done against the spread so far this season. Pomeroy doesn't have the old predictions anywhere, so we'll just have to start today against those.

Reminder, these are for ACC games only.

Austin: 12-8-2
Pence: 14-8

Austin: 0-0
Pomeroy: 0-0

Here are this today's games, with everyone's predictions.

Maryland at North Carolina (-5.5)
Pence: Maryland
Pomeroy: Maryland
Austin: North Carolina

Wake Forest at Virginia Tech (-4)
Pence: Virginia Tech
Pomeroy: Virginia Tech
Austin: Virginia Tech

Florida State at Virginia (-5)
Pence: Florida State
Pomeroy: Virginia
Austin: Florida State
