Georgia Tech 2013 recruit Solomon Poole graduated high school early and enrolled at Georgia Tech over the weekend.  Poole was rated as a top 50 recruit in the class of 2013.  There is possibility that Poole could redshirt this year, but CBS Sports has a source that says that Poole will play and could be in action on Monday night.

“The plan is for Solo to play once he is cleared by Eligibility Center,” the source said. “He could play as early as Monday.”

The Yellow Jackets are off to a nice start behind 2nd year coach Brian Gregory.  Poole can help provide depth at a point guard and battle senior Pierre Jordan for the backup point guard duties.  Gregory knows that you can never have too much talent on his roster so he is clearly excited about Poole's arrival.

“Our program is really excited to have Solomon join us at this time,” head coach Brian Gregory said in a statement. “I'm really proud of all the hard work he has put in to get himself in this position. I know Solomon is ready to help this team in any way he can, and in any role possible. While this is great for our program currently, it will also accelerate Solomon's progress in the future.”

If you want to know more about Poole's game, Scout.com has this to say about his game:

Right now Poole is someone who plays on the ball, but his first instinct is to really score. His athleticism is impressive, and is as quick as any player with the ball in his hands. Poole is also just someone who has that knack for being able to score. He does need to get better in terms of making others better, but the talent with him is simply tantalizing.
