ESPN's Robbi Pickeral has confirmed freshman PG Marcus Paige is probable to play against East Tennessee State on Saturday.
Paige suffered a strained left shoulder prior to last weekend's game against UAB and did not play versus the Blazers. According to Pickeral's report, Paige practiced on Wednesday and Friday. Thursday was an off day for the entire team.
Paige's absence against UAB led to some interesting lineup changes which included Leslie McDonald starting at the wing guard slot. McDonald scored a career-high 24 points and hit five three pointers. Dexter Strickland ran point for most of the contest and finished with nine assists.
Assuming Paige starts, Strickland will likely move back to the wing with McDonald coming off the bench. However, if there was a time to continue to tinker with the lineup, now would be it although Roy Williams is not given to that too often.
