The ACC went 2-1 on Tuesday night. There were good wins for NC State and Georgia Tech last night, and a 5th consecutive loss for Boston College against Harvard. The Pack trailed most of the first half, as UConn made their 3's and dominated the glass. At halftime Gottfried must have lit a fire under the team and especially Richard Howell. The Pack came out a much better rebounding team, and Howell had a double-double in the second half alone. It resulted in a pretty good NC State 69-65 victory.
Georgia Tech defeated in-state rival Georgia 62-54 behind 18 points and 6 rebounds from Marcus Georges-Hunt. The Yellow Jackets went 9-21 from 3 point range and held Georgia to just 32% shooting from the field.
Harvard continues to be a thorn in the side of Boston College, defeating the Eagles 79-63. BC simply couldn't stop Harvard's offense as the Crimson tallied an offensive efficiency of 123 in the win. Ryan Anderson finished with 23 points and 7 rebounds in the loss. Dennis Clifford didn't play due to an injury (see the injury report below) and Donahue said Clifford is likely out another 2-3 weeks.
