The Deacs had no defense whatsoever in this game. None. Combine that with turnovers, ugly offense, lack of discipline, and almost NBA Jam-esque shooting (seriously, 9-12 from three in the first half) and you have what we just saw. It was reminiscent of the Arizona State game in that tournament last year Madison Jones was awesome in this game, and the Deacs did a decent job of drawing contact, but again, the free throw shooting was abysmal, there was no defense, and everything that went right yesterday went wrong today.

Between this and the football game, I want to just get into a fetal position. Today is not the day to be a Wake Forest fan. Good lord. When you're playing a mid-major when the night before, they lost a game in overtime after midnight, you would think that the roles would be reversed, but no.

I don't understand how a team can look so good and promising one night and so irredeemable the next. Will we go 0-3? On Monday, the Deacs play a pretty woeful Mercer team without their best player. I'm going to keep my mouth shut on that one. Anybody got one of those Men In Black amnesia things...?
