We keep moving on with our ACC player rankings by looking at the conference’s best linebackers. Let’s see who makes the list.

Completed Rankings

Running Backs | Quarterbacks | Wide Receivers | Tight Ends | Offensive Linemen

1) Kevin Reddick, North Carolina

In the last few years the UNC defense has been dotted with NFL players. The Tar Heel’s Kevin Reddick is the next one on the list. Reddick is on multiple pre-season watch lists and the pre-season All-ACC team and is projected as a late first round NFL draft choice. He’s often praised for his instincts and intelligence.

2) Bruce Taylor, Virginia Tech

I’ve put Bruce Taylor 2nd on this list despite the fact he missed 4 games last year with a foot injury. That’s how good Bruce Taylor is. If he’s healthy he could push Reddick as the top linebacker in the ACC. He has good speed, good size (6-2, 252 lbs), and good instincts. He was one his way to 100+ tackle season before the injury.

3) Steve Greer, Virginia

Steve Greer joined Kevin Reddick and Bruce Taylor on the pre-season All-ACC team at linebacker. Last season he led the Virginia Cavaliers with 103 tackles. Not as athletically gifted as some of the players on this list, Greer makes up for with a non-stop motor and physical style of play.

4) Jeremiah Attaochu, Georgia Tech

Jeremiah Attaochu is on his way to becoming a star in the ACC. At 6-3 and 235 lbs, he has the athletic tools to be a future NFL Linebacker. He’s only a junior, but already there are some that say if he continues to develop he could end up being a first or second round NFL pick. He helps makes the Yellow Jackets one of the better back 7 units in the ACC.

5) Kevin Pierre-Louis, Boston College

No pressure for Pierre-Louis, he’s only following in the footsteps of two of the best linebackers in recent ACC history in former BC stars and current NFL players Mark Herzlich and Luke Kuechly. He’s been the 2nd leading tackler at Boston College the last two years. He’s little undersized at 6-1 220 lbs, but he’s rangy and quick.
