And according to Inside Carolina(subscription required), he is already set to visit UNC.

Wing guard Trevor Lacey just finished his sophomore season at Alabama where he led the Crimson Tide in assists and three point shooting. Lacey started all 36 games in the 2012-13 season averaging 11.3 ppg, 3.2 apg, 1.7 spg and shot 37% from three hitting 62 of 166. He also becomes the latest player to leave the Crimson Tide and head coach Anthony Grant. Justin Knox, who spent a post-grad season at UNC, also left Bama and Grant. in 2011. Given Lacey started and played significant minutes this past season, the assumption is something was amiss between him and his head coach to necessitate moving out of his home state(as was the case with Rodney Purvis at NC State.)

Coming out of high school Lacey was ranked 36th in the 2011 class according to the RSCI. He was the 11th best wing guard in those rankings in a class that had the ten WG's in the top 30. After two years of college it is clear Lacey can play and contribute. In accordance with NCAA transfer rules, Lacey would be required to sit out next season and have two years of eligibility left.

UNC's situation at the wing guard/forward slots is thin now and will be again in 2014-15 not to mention younger. Leslie McDonald will graduate and P.J. Hairston, who flirted with going to the NBA this season, is likely declaring after his junior season. North Carolina already has a commitment from WF Justin Jackson and J.P. Tokoto would be a junior. It is expected UNC will add at least one more top wing guard for the class of 2014 which also includes PG Joel Berry. Berry's arrival will create a glut of sorts at the point and given the lack of personnel on the wings, one of the list point guards will probably see some time on the wing. Still, adding Lacey would be even better since he has proven he can shoot and has experience which the 2014-15 Tar Heels will need.
