As soon as we return from a nice Christmas break, we read that Jared Dudley will be missing the next three games due to a stress fracture in his foot. Wait a minute, all you Dudley owners, don't freak out! Dudley has been playing with this stress fracture since Boston College played Fairfield on December 6th, and Dudley still will not miss a conference game. The Eagles play Duquesne, Northeastern, and Yale in a span of 7 days, before playing North Carolina State on January 6th.

From the article linked above:
"We knew going into the Kansas game that I'd play and then sit out," added Dudley. "It's frustrating, but I'm going to sit out the next three games and then try to be ready for N.C. State."
Dudley owners should only be concerned if this becomes a nagging injury that slows his athleticism or limits his minutes. Last season, Dudley led all players in the nation in minutes per game with close to 39 mpg.
On top of the foot injury to Dudley, Al Skinner also has two other players nursing foot injuries. John Oates and Akida McLain should also miss the next game against Duquesne, while McLain's could hold him out into conference play.
Since our holiday departure, the ACC has played a host of cupcakes, and lost two big non-conference matchups, as Boston College lost to Kansas and NC State lost to Cincinnati. Georgia Tech did beat rival Georgia 78-69 behind 24 pts and 10 rebs from Thaddeus Young, who has bounced back after a couple rough games.
Over at DaveSez.com, Dave does a nice recap of some of the recent ACC games, including those on December 22nd.
