Maryland hosted Missouri-Kansas City last night and won 101-50. The Terps were led by a remarkable 27 pts from Mike Jones in just 21 minutes of action. Jones hit 9-13 from three point range, with all nine in a row, and also added 5 rebs and 3 asts in his limited playing time. DJ Strawberry also added 20 pts in 22 minutes of action, while James Gist had his 2nd straight double-double with 14 pts and 11 rebs.

The nine three pointers for Jones and the seventeen three pointers as a team were both records for the Terps.
Maryland had 24 assists against just 8 turnovers while holding Missouri-Kansas City to 25% shooting from the field. Gary Williams started a different lineup, with Greivis Vasquez and Bambale Osby replacing Eric Hayes and Ekene Ibekwe.
Wake Forest lost their 3rd straight game 78-63 to Depaul. Kyle Visser led the Demon Deacons with 20 pts and 8 rebs, while Anthony Gurley added 14 pts in 14 minutes of action. No other Wake Forest player scored more than 7 pts. Point guard, Ish Smith finished with 6 pts, but added 9 rebs and 5 asts.
The Demon Deacons were apparently rusty, after not playing since December 2nd. Depaul jumped out to an early lead behind 20 first-half points from forward, Wilson Chandler.
Depaul finished with 25 assists and 9 turnovers, and held Wake Forest to 38% shooting from the floor. After playing man-to-man for most of Skip Prosser's tenure, Wake Forest opened the Depaul game in a 2-3 zone, although without much effectiveness.
