North Carolina took on another storied program in Kentucky, beating the Wildcats 75-63 in the Dean Dome on Sunday. For only the 3rd time in his career, Tyler Hansbrough was held out of double-figures, scoring 7 pts on 2-10 shooting. Hansbrough was held under 10 pts against Gonzaga earlier in the season and Kentucky held him out of double-figures last season, as well.
Wayne Ellington led the way for the Tarheels with 17 pts, while Brandan Wright scored 16 pts. Reyshawn Terry had perhaps his best game of the season scoring 16 pts and adding 9 rebs. UNC won the game in the turnover battle, where the Heels committed just 9 turnovers as opposed to 22 turnovers for Kentucky.

Last evening, Duke took out #23 Georgetown 61-52 in a tale of two halves. In the first half the Blue Devils trailed by double-figures, but allowed the Hoyas just 18 second-half points to claim the win. Josh McRoberts shot just 4-12 from the field, but finished with 15 pts, 7 rebs, 6 asts, and 3 blks and played very well defensively in the second half on Jeff Green and Roy Hibbert, the Hoyas top two big men.
Greg Paulus looked more like himself in the second-half as well, scoring 13 pts, and keying the run that put the Blue Devils in the lead. Demarcus Nelson kept the Blue Devils in it early, and finished in double-figures also with 12 pts and 5 rebs.
Clemson got a good road win against their in-state rivals South Carolina, beating the Gamecocks 74-53. James Mays led the Tigers with 21 pts and 7 rebs on 8-12 shooting and went 5-6 from the free throw line, a noted improvement on his previous shooting percentages. Julius Powell (13 pts), Vernon Hamilton (12 pts, 4 asts), and KC Rivers (10 pts, 8 rebs) all finished in double-figures as well.
The Tigers outrebounded South Carolina 42-30 and also had 19 offensive rebounds in the win.
Boston College went to UMASS on Saturday evening and won 84-73. Sean Marshall bounced back after a couple tough games and led the Eagles with 19 pts and 6 rebs. Tyrese Rice pitched in 17 pts and 5 rebs, while Sean Williams had his top scoring effort of the season with 16 pts. Jared Dudley scored 11 on 2-6 shooting but added 7 asts and 6 rebs.

In the only ACC loss of the day, Wake Forest lost at Georgia 87-86. Kyle Visser led the way with 26 pts and 12 rebs, but couldn't hit a shot to give the Demon Deacons the win when time expired. Jamie Skeen scored 14 pts and added 5 res and 4 stls, while Harvey Hale came off the bench and played just 17 minutes and scored 14 pts, as well. Point guard, Ish Smith scored 10 pts and added 8 asts and 4 rebs, but at the expense of 8 turnovers.
