Here are 3 players that HOT, and 3 players that are NOT in the ACC.
Hot
- Javaris Crittenton - The freshman point guard has looked more like an NBA rookie than a college freshman thus far in his career. Crittenton will continue to be tested in the Maui Classic, but has yet to be stopped. Perhaps his biggest weapon is his free throw shooting, where he is making 81%.
- Kyle Visser - With the departure of Eric Williams, Visser finally gets his chance to start and get touches in the paint. Visser has responded by averaging 23 ppg and 9 rpg while shooting 79% from the floor.
- Jack McClinton - The Siena transfer has jumped straight into the starting lineup for the Miami Hurricanes. McClinton is averaging 18.6 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 2.2 apg and shooting 53% from the behind the arc and 88% from the charity stripe.
Not
- Anthony Morrow - It appears Anthony Morrow minutes are getting squeezed due to the influx in young talent for the Yellow Jackets. After averaging 15 ppg in conference play a season ago, Morrow is averaging just 5.5 ppg in 4 games this season.
- Reyshawn Terry - Like Morrow, young talent is affecting his play so far this season. Unlike Morrow, it isn't minutes, but shots that Terry isn't getting. There just are not enough shots to go around in Chapel Hill this season.
- Tyrese Rice - Rice is averaging 10.5 ppg and 3.5 apg, but also has 3.5 tpg to go along with his poor shooting. Rice is making just 33% of his shots, including just 29% from behind the arc.
