The Hurricanes were participating in the America's Youth Classic, which involved three games in three days, unfortunately day two and three didn't involve wins.  On Saturday, Miami took on Buffalo and lost 60-57.  The Hurricanes turned the ball over 19 times, and shot 41% from the floor and 27% from behind the arc.  Jack McClinton led the way with 21 pts and 6 rebs.

On Sunday, Cleveland St hit 11-23 from behind the arc to cruise to a 78-67 victory over the Hurricanes.  Once again, Jack McClinton led the way scoring 20 pts, while Anthony Harris added 13 pts and 4 asts.

In other ACC action, North Carolina took out Gardner-Webb easily 103-50Brandan Wright led the way with 21 pts and 9 rebs, while Wayne Ellington (19 pts, 4 rebs) and Tyler Hansbrough (18 pts, 7 rebs) also had big nights.  The Heels defense, which had been suspect thus far into the season, locked down Gardner-Webb, forcing 21 turnovers, and holding them to a woeful 28% shooting from the field.

Virginia beat Morgan St on Sunday 85-66 behind 17 pts, 4 asts, and 7 rebs from JR Reynolds.  Reynolds had an eye injury that kept him from the starting lineup against Arizona, and limited his effectiveness.  Freshman, Will Harris finished with 16 pts and 8 rebs, while Sean Singletary finished with 12 pts, 8 asts, and 6 rebs.

Florida St jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 69-50 win over New Orleans.  FSU jumped out to a 29-4 lead in the first half, but was outscored by UNO in the second half.  Al Thornton led a balanced Noles' attack with 12 pts while Jason Rich (11 pts) and Toney Douglas (10 pts, 4 asts) both finished in double-figures.  Freshman, Ryan Reid, came off the bench to finish with 7 pts and 9 rebs.
