On the first official day of basketball practice, Duke started off the season on the "wrong foot.". Point guard, Greg Paulus, suffered a broken foot and early indications are that he will miss 6-8 weeks. This would mean Paulus would miss 10-12 games, but should be in full form by the time ACC season begins for the Blue Devils in January.
While Paulus is out, look for freshman Jon Scheyer to get some time at point, as well as junior, Demarcus Nelson.
Update (10/16/2006 9:00 PM ET): After being re-evaluated, Paulus didn't suffer a break and is listed as out indefinitely. SI.com is saying its not known if Paulus will even miss any games. This is good news for you Duke fans out there.
