BC/Duke move on

Over the past weekend, Duke and Boston College moved on with wins over George Washington and Montana, respectively.  On the other hand, neither NC State or North Carolina could continue their venture into the brackets with the Wolfpack losing to Texas and UNC dropping to this year's Cinderella, George Mason.

Duke now moves on to play LSU in the Sweet 16 with either Texas or West Virginia waiting.  The Blue Devils will need Shelden Williams and Josh McRoberts to stay out of foul trouble against LSU.  The Tigers are a very big team, and crash the boards extremely well, but do not take care of the ball that well.

For BC, a sweet 16 matchup against Villanova looms with a great 8 matchup against either Georgetown or Florida.  Boston College can beat all 3 teams, but will need Craig Smith and Jared Dudley to combine for 40 points with others stepping up as well.

In the NIT, the ACC has two teams remaining, Miami and Florida State.  Miami has won their two games by a combined 4 points to get to the round of 8.  The Hurricanes will play Michigan on Wednesday night at 8 ET.  FSU plays South Carolina tonight (7 PM) in the Sweet 16 of the NIT and will play the winner of Cincinnati and Minnesota on Thursday night.
