When a team accepts an NIT bid, often one of two things happens. Either the team rallies around finishing the season on a high note or sulks about playing in the NIT and completely folds. The latter happened to Virginia last night against Stanford.
Virginia went to Palo Alto and lost to Stanford last night 65-49, shooting only 35% from the floor including a poor 6-20 effort from Sean Singletary.
Tonight, Wake Forest plays Minnesota, Clemson takes on Louisiana Tech, and Miami plays Oklahoma State. It will be interesting to see which of the two teams mentioned above shows up for the ACC teams playing tonight.
