Over at Duke Basketball Report, Al Featherston has a wonderful essay on JJ Redick and Adam Morrison. There will be numerous debates on these two before all of the player of the year awards are issued, but Featherston's article hits a number of interesting points.
These two players are amazingly similar in stats (taken from Featherston's article, although I think they are a few games behind):
| Min | Pts | FG% | 3-T% | FT% | Reb | Asst. | BS | ST | TO | |
| Redick | 36.7 | 28.9 | 51.3 | 44.8 | 88.4 | 2.0 | 2.6 | (2) | (39) | (62) |
| Morrison | 36.2 | 28.8 | 52.1 | 46.2 | 78.9 | 5.6 | 1.6 | (10) | (26) | (60) |
| (Note: the last three categories are raw totals, not averages). | ||||||||||
With the level these two guys are playing, you can be sure that CBS will do their best to match Gonzaga and Duke up in the NCAA tournament.
So, who is the player of the year, Redick or Gonzaga? Hash it out, by posting a comment to this Newsbreaker.
