UNC/Wake Forest Box Score
Notes: Wake Forest couldn't hang on to a halftime lead of 5 points, and Reyshawn Terry proved to be a tough matchup in the Tarheels' 83-72 win. UNC shot 50% from the field, and 80% on the line, a place where they shot 20 more free throws than Wake Forest. The Heels were led by Reyshawn Terry, who finished with 24 pts, including 8-9 from the line. Tyler Hansbrough (17 pts, 6 rebs), David Noel (13 pts, 5 rebs), and Danny Green (10 pts) also added double figures as well.
For Wake Forest, Justin Gray led the way with 20 pts and 6 asts, although on 7-23 shooting, while Eric Williams was a dominant force early on, finishing with 19 pts and 8 rebs. Michael Drum started in place of Harvey Hale, and finished with 10 pts and 5 asts.
Duke/Miami Box Score
Notes: Another game, another record for JJ Redick. Sunday night saw JJ Redick break a record for the 2nd consecutive game in the Blue Devils 92-71 over Miami.
Redick broke Duke's all-time scoring record by scoring 30 pts (22 in the first half), held by Duke's associate head coach, Johnny Dawkins. Once again, Shelden Williams' performance may have been overshadowed by Redick, as Williams finished with 17 pts and 15 rebs. Josh McRoberts also continued is improved play with 14 pts and 7 rebs, including 9-11 from the free throw line. It has been rumored that McRoberts play was down early in the season due to a back injury that plagued him in high school, but is reportedly 100% once again.
For the Miami Hurricanes, Guillermo Diaz led the way with 23 pts, but Robert Hite and Anthony Harris only managed 10 pts and 9 pts, respectively. Miami was outscored 39-3 from behind the arc and 29-10 from the free throw line.
