NC State/Georgia Tech Box Score
Notes: Different year, same old story for the Wolfpack?  The Wolfpack turned the ball over 19 times and couldn't beat the young Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on the road in the 71-68 loss.  Zam Frederick scored 22 pts and added 4 rebs and 6 asts off the bench and RaSean Dickey added 14 pts to lead the way for Paul Hewitt's team.

The Wolfpack managed to make 12 of 24 3 point shots, but couldn't hang on to the ball long enough and gave up too many easy baskets to Georgia Tech.  The Pack were led by Ilian Evtimov's near triple double with 17 pts, 9 rebs, and 9 asts, while Engin Atsur added 15 pts, 5 rebs, and 5 asts.

UNC/Miami Box Score
Notes: North Carolina got a bit of revenge winning at Miami 80-70 on Sunday night.  The Heels had a tough loss when Miami beat them at the Dean Dome earlier in the season, and played well in this one to beat Miami on their homecourt.  Roy Williams' squad was led by Tyler Hansbrough, who finished with 25 pts and 7 rebs, while Reyshawn Terry finished with 18 pts and 8 rebs.

Guillermo Diaz led the way for the Canes with 21 pts, while Robert Hite added 15 and Anthony Harris had 12 pts and 5 asts.  The Hurricanes were outrebounded by the Heels 28-17, and gave up 14 offensive rebounds to the Heels that led to some very easy baskets.

Non-Conference

Florida State hosted UMass on Sunday evening and won 73-63, and the Seminoles were led by their 2 big men, Al Thornton (16 pts) and Alexander Johnson (17 pts, 13 rebs).
