As a team, the Wolfpack shot 12-22 from behind the 3 point arc.
For the Hurricanes, Robert Hite led the way with 22 pts and 8 rebs, while Guillermo Diaz (18 pts), and Anthony Harris (15 pts, 4 asts) contributed as well. The Hurricanes were kept to 6-25 from 3 point range, for a 24% clip, which may have been the difference.
Boston College/Wake Forest Box Score
Notes: Freshman Tyrese Rice made 6 threes and finished with 23 pts in Boston College's 72-66 win over Wake Forest. With Jared Dudley and Craig Smith combining for only 23 pts, Tyrese Rice and the Boston College bench stepped up to provide a spark led by Rice. Craig Smith had only 9 pts, but added 13 rebs and 4 asts, while Jared Dudley went for 14 pts and 9 rebs.
Wake Forest was led by senior Justin Gray's 24 pts and 4 asts, but the supporting cast for the Demon Deacons was non-existent. Only freshman Harvey Hale (13 pts, 4 asts) and Eric Williams (10 pts, 5 rebs) managed double figures.
Clemson/Virginia Tech Box Score
Notes: Clemson had a number of chances to win the game late, but Virginia Tech proved too much in the 75-74 win over the Tigers. Jamon Gordon led the way with 21 pts, 16 rebs, 4 asts, 4 stls for the Hokies while Zabian Dowdell added 19 pts, 6 asts, 5 stls. Coleman Collins came off the bench in his 2nd game back from being away from the team dealing with family issues to score 16 pts.
The Tigers were led by 16 pts and 13 rebs from Akin Akingbala, while Shawan Robinson came off the bench to score 17 pts. The Tigers turned the ball over 24, 21 of which were steals by Virginia Tech, which ultimately proved to be too much.
