With a Saturday full of games, and a great game between Maryland and NC State on Sunday, here a some bullet points on the games this weekend:
- Duke and FSU played a great overtime game in which Duke won 97-96 despite 37 pts, 15 rebs, 5 asts from Al Thornton. Thornton's performance ranks as the best fantasy performance in the past 10 years. This game was so physical that even referees were getting hurt.
- Miami won on the road at Georgia Tech moving to 6-3 in the conference.
- Virginia won on a JR Reynolds floater with under 5 seconds remaining to move back above .500 at 5-4 in the ACC.
- UNC makes it 52 and counting as they beat Clemson 76-61 to increase their consecutive wins over the Tigers at home.
- Boston College won on the road over Virginia Tech to move to 5-4 in the ACC. BC beat Virginia Tech who had Coleman Collins play for the first time in the last few games. Zabian Dowdell missed a shot that would have won the game in the final seconds.
- NC State battled Maryland as neither team played all that well on Sunday afternoon. Neither team managed to shoot over 40% from the field in the Wolfpack's 62-58 win.
