Virginia Tech/Wake Forest Box Score
Notes: Both teams played without their stars as Virginia Tech triumphed 76-70, thanks in large part to a great performance from an unlikely star, AD Vassallo. Vassallo played as a result of Deron Washington and Coleman Collins missing the game, and finished with 29 pts and 10 rebs. Jamon Gordon also contributed mightily with 21 pts and 14 rebs in the Hokies' first conference win.
Wake Forest played without Justin Gray who had the flu, and as a result Michael Drum started. Drum played well, scoring 17 pts and 4 asts, while Trent Strickland led the Demon Deacons in scoring and rebounding with 23 pts and 8 rebs. Eric Williams garnered a lot of attention from the Hokies but managed only 12 pts and 5 rebs despite the Hokies missing their starting frontline.

Shelden Williams finished 2 blocks short of his 2nd triple double of the season, with 17 pts, 10 rebs, 8 blks, and 4 asts.
