Wake Forest/FSU Box Score
Notes: Wake Forest falls to 1-5 in the ACC, while FSU moved back to .500 at 3-3 after the Seminoles won 75-68 on Tuesday night. Florida State held Wake Forest to 35% shooting and made 55% from behind the arc at 11-20, led by senior Andrew Wilson's 18 pts on 4-7 from 3 point range. Al Thornton (13 pts, 7 rebs), Alexander Johnson (14 pts, 6 rebs), and Jerel Allen (11 pts) all pitched in double figures as well.
For the Demon Deacons it is more of the same, not being able to defend and not having enough offensive balance. Wake placed 4 players in double figures, led by Justin Gray's 19 pts (7 rebs, 5 asts), but on 4-15 shooting. Eric Williams finished with a double-double going for 12 pts and 12 rebs, while Harvey Hale continued his nice play of late with 16 pts.
Miami/Virginia Box Score
Notes: Virginia held Miami to 32% shooting in the Cavaliers win 71-51. Sean Singletary dominated this game with 29 pts, when Virginia needed him most.
Virginia guard JR Reynolds had an ugly fall when he fell on his elbow and head in the first half. Reynolds was carried off the floor, but returned from the locker room in the 2nd half only to sit on the bench with a towel draped over his head. As more information about Reynolds injury becomes apparent, we will let you know.
The high scoring combination of Robert Hite and Guillermo Diaz slumped in this game, as both player finished with 10 pts on a combined 5-27 shooting. Anthony Harris led the way for the Canes with 13 pts.
