For those of you interested, the Webmaster had his chance to change his team last night as his league got together for their 1st Trading Session. Going into the trading session, the Webmaster's roster basically consisted of...
Gary Hamilton $10 C
Jared Dudley $25 F
Al Thornton $15 F
Anthony Morrow $15 G
Jason Rich $10 G
I also had KC Rivers as a $10 G to use up my cap in the draft, but I wanted to drop both of my $10 guards and get a $15 guard to maximize my chance to score. Despite having two $10 guards, I'm in a position to win the 1st mini-season, currently down 40 fantasy points with 2 players (Morrow and Hamilton) left to play in their 4th games.
As a result, I didn't want to tinker with my team too much, especially with Dudley and Morrow underachieving in my eyes the first mini-season.
While Jeremis Smith, Jason Cain, Ekene Ibekwe, Cam Bennerman went with the first 4 picks, I had a choice of the two players that I would have been satisified with going into the trading session in Miami's Anthony Harris and Clemson's Vernon Hamilton. While Hamilton posted one huge game against Duke, Anthony Harris has averaged right around 20 fantasy points/game over the last 2 seasons, and is just now getting healthy, so I felt he was the much more reliable pick.
Here's hoping Morrow and Hamilton can give me a boost toward the 1st mini-season!
