UNC/Virginia Tech Box Score
Notes: UNC went on the road and beat Virginia Tech 64-61 in a tough road environment, despite a last second 3 from Deron Washington that nearly tied the game at 64. The Heels were led by Tyler Hansbrough once again with 20 pts and 9 rebs, and a number of big shots by the freshman big man. For Virginia Tech, the guards dominated the ball for most of the game with arguably their best player, Coleman Collins only taking 5 shots, and finishing with only 7 pts. The Hokies were led by Wynton Witherspoon for the 2nd straight game. Witherspoon may be emerging as a fantasy sleeper, saving his best performances for the Hokies' past two games, as he is just now getting healthy after a early season foot injury. The Heels proved the Webmaster wrong once regarding the prediction for this one, but stay tuned for a Newsbreaker about the Heels recipe to their early season success.
