Georgia Tech/Vanderbilt Box Score
Notes: The Yellow Jackets got a good win over Vanderbilt 76-67, led by sophomore Anthony Morrow. Morrow scored 28 pts and added 9 rebs and 4 asts as well. D'Andre Bell started for Georgia Tech as well, in place of Mario West, who is out 2-3 weeks with a toe injury, and scored 10 pts. Also in double figures were Zam Frederick (12 pts, 5 asts) and RaSean Dickey (10 pts, 4 rebs).
Boston College/UMASS Box Score
Notes: Boston College bombed their local rival, UMASS, 91-62 on Tuesday night. The Eagles were led by Sean Marshall's 18 pts in a game that was never really close. The Eagles shot nearly 60% from the field while holding UMASS under 40%. Craig Smith added 17 pts, Jared Dudley had 14 pts, while Tyrese Rice (14 pts) and Akida McLain (10 pts) both pitched in double figures off the bench.
NC State/UNCG Box Score
Notes: Tony Bethel made 8-9 shots, scoring 20 pts and adding 5 rebs in the NC State rout of UNCG 83-52. Cedric Simmons (18 pts, 8 rebs), Engin Atsur (16 pts), Cam Bennerman (14 pts, 4 asts), and Andrew Brackman (12 pts, 6 rebs) all pitched in double figures in the win as well. NC State now looks forward to their rivalry against the Heels on Saturday.
UNC/Davidson Box Score
Notes: The Heels handled a very good Davidson team 82-58, in a game where freshman, Tyler Hansbrough, led UNC with 23 pts and 8 rebs. David Noel only scored 5 pts on 2-5 shooting, but showed his versatility by adding 10 rebs and 7 asts (although adding 7 turnovers). Reyshawn Terry was the only other Tarheel in double figures with 16 pts and 4 rebs.
Wake Forest/ECU Box Score
Notes: The Demon Deacons managed to squeak out a win over the Pirates of ECU on Tuesday night 58-54. Wake Forest managed this win despite shooting 62% from the free throw line, going 23-37. The biggest culprit from the line was center, Eric Williams, who went 5-13, and was out of the lineup in key moments for Wake due to his ineptness. This should be a red flag for owners of Eric Williams as his will go to the free throw line quite a bit, and it appears that his struggles may have gone to his head. On the positive side, Trent Strickland continued his solid play with 20 pts and 9 rebs.
