Boston College Steals a 4 Star Miami Commit

by ACC Rivals

Posted: 12/28/2010 7:28:16 AM

After originally committing to the University of Miami, 4-star defensive back Albert Louis-Jean (Brockton, MA) has decided Boston College is the place for him.  Louis-Jean de-committed back in early December after the firing of head coach Randy Shannon.  Louis-Jean had said that Shannon was a major part of his decision for originally deciding to go to Miami, but with the upheaval in Coral Gables, the Eagles were able to swoop in and land a very strong prospect at a position of need.  The Eagles class is now ranked #33 by recruiting service Scout.com and #5 in the ACC.

BC now has commitments from each of the top 2 prospects in the state of Massachusetts (the other being 4-star tight end Brian Miller).  Louis-Jean also seriously considered Penn State prior to his commitment.  He is expected to enroll early (January 19th) and participate in spring practices in hopes of earning playing time in 2011.
