I like this game. A 10 win Northern Illinois team that at one point won 9 games in a row comes in with interim head coach Tom Matukewicz. Former Head Coach Jerry Kill is now at Minnesota. Fresno State is coming off a solid win over Illinois.

With Urban Meyer retiring, Louisville Head Coach Charlie Strong is likely on the short list of replacements. He was a former defensive coordinator at Florida. Southern Miss has an explosive offense capable of scoring points in bunches.

At the beginning of the year, I'd have called this a BCS matchup. Utah limped home and Boise St. choked at Nevada. The Broncos are still one of the country's 10 best teams.

San Diego State (8-4) vs Navy (8-3) ESPN 8 PM
Nobody is paying attention to this game, but it might be one of the most competitive of the bowl season. Navy has been a quality team for years. San Diego State has close losses to Missouri, TCU and Utah and defeated a good Air Force team.

Air Force is an extremely good team that nearly beat Oklahoma earlier this year. Paul Johnson has plenty of experience playing Air Force with his time at Navy. The Falcons won't be underestimated in a game that won't have 10 passes thrown.
