The early betting lines have installed Stanford as a three-point favorite over Virginia Tech, according to our friends at OddsShark. If the line holds at game time it will be the first time this season the Hokies have been an underdog this season.

Virginia Tech was an underdog in the days leading up to its opening game against Boise State before the line swung in its favor hours before gametime. At kickoff, the Hokies were a one-point favorite against the Broncos. The Cardinal have been favored in all of their games but one - their only loss of the season at Oregon Oct. 2.

The three gambling services tracked by OddsShark that have posted an over/under all have it at either 58 or 58.5.

The Hokies come into the game 10-2 against the spread this season (there was no spread for their game against James Madison) and the Cardinal at 7-3-1 against it. In addition to their game against Boise State, the only time the Hokies failed to cover was Nov. 4 against Georgia Tech when they were 13-point favorites.
