Duke's next contest is against Bradley on Wednesday night, but its freshman point guard, Kyrie Irving, is considered doubtful.

A toe injury suffered Saturday is likely to keep Duke freshman point guard Kyrie Irving out of the top-ranked Blue Devils' 9 p.m. game Wednesday against Bradley.

Team spokesman Matt Plizga said this morning that Irving is wearing a protective boot and undergoing further evaluation, and is unlikely to play against Bradley. Plizga hopes to be able to provide more information about Irving's injury today.

More from the News and Observer

Kyrie Irving injured the foot against Butler on Saturday, although he returned to play after the injury.  Odds are Irving would be playing if the game was more critical.  Expect Andre Dawkins to get the start if Irving is unable to play, with Nolan Smith primarily taking over point guard duties.
