Virginia Tech Hokies QB Tyrod Taylor, CB Jayron Hosley and K Chris Hazley were all named to the first team All-ACC list, the conference announced Monday. The teams were voted on by members of the Atlantic Coast Sports Media Association.

With 77 points, Taylor just beat out NC State's Russell Wilson (75) as the league's first-team quarterback. Those two will probably be neck-and-neck in player of the year voting. Hosley received the most points of any Hokie with 112 and had nearly twice as many as the other first-team cornerback, Chase Minnifield of UVa.

Hazley made the first team in his only year as Virginia Tech's starting kicker. He received 100 points, beating out Duke's Will Snyderwine, who received 38 points.

Eight more Virginia Tech Hokies were named to the All-ACC second team: OT Blake DeChristopher, OG Jaymes Brooks, specialist David Wilson, DE Steven Friday, DT John Graves, LB Bruce Taylor, S Davon Morgan and P Brian Saunders. The closest to making the first team was Brooks, who was nine points short. C Beau Warren and TE Andre Smith were listed as honorable mentions.

Who would have thought before the season that none of Virginia Tech's running backs would even crack the honorable mention list?
