Georgia Tech and Clemson Both Lose

South Carolina 29 Clemson 7

Georgia 42 Georgia Tech 34

You know what's worse than losing? It's losing to your rival. As a big fan of both Clemson and Georgia Tech, it was not a good day.

Both schools finished the year 6-6, and are headed to some non-descript bowl no body cares about. Well they need the practice time anyways. Maybe I just ought to stay at home next week, so I don't have to face the South Carolina fans sure to give me hard time. What can I say? We'll get you next year? Dabo Swinney gambled on Kyle Parker leading his team, and lost big time.

Parker had one good drive then he was his usual short armed, off target, interception throwing self. I bet Swinney never lets another player take 8 months off to play baseball. The worst thing is the bragging rights go to the Gamecocks for a whole new year oh man. If the South Carolina fans don't get me, the Georgia fans will.

There are fewer Georgia fans where I am, but I know enough that I'll get an earful of we stink this year but we are better than you. I have to be quiet and take my medicine, because if Georgia Tech couldn't beat a Georgia team that's lost 11 games the last two years when exactly when will they beat them?

It's not that the triple option won't work, it does. 411 rushing yards against the Dawgs proves it, but defensively the Jackets just don't have the talent to play UGA straight up. Paul Johnson has got to hit the recruiting trail and find some talent for the defense. That makes 9 losses in 10 years to Georgia for Georgia Tech.

At least for a good while Clemson dominated the South Carolina rivalry, but that looks over for the forseeable future. Now I have just take it from my most hated rivals. Just a bad football day for me, and I haven't met up with the rival fans yet.
