Who is the best one loss team out there? Ohio St? LSU? maybe Wisconsin? What about the Stanford Cardinals. They went to California and destroyed the Golden Bears 48-14. They feature the tough as nails QB Andre Luck and one of the nation's best offenses. Jim Harbaugh isn't too shabby a coach either. If I'm picking the BCS at-large teams, Stanford for sure gets one of my picks.
The Hokies have done it again. For the 4th time in 6 years Frank Beamer's Virginia Tech Hokies will win the ACC Coastal Division. With their 31-17 win over Miami, they are headed to the ACCCG game. If they win the ACC Championship game that would be their 4th ACC title in 7 years. Since joining the ACC in 2004 Virginia Tech has also never won fewer than 10 games in a season. You know what's that called? That's called dominance. Florida State, Clemson, Miami and anyone else in the Atlantic Coast Conference might not like it, but the road through the ACC runs through Blacksburg.
Texas won their first home game since September 11th. That is astonishing. Good thing Florida Atlantic was today's opponent. Texas beat the Owls 51-17.
Here's a score for you. Oregon St. Beavers 36 USC Trojans 7.
That's the same Oregon St. that just lost to Washington St. and was 4-5 entering this game. If you've kept up with my blog, you know I'm not big Lane Kiffen fan, but Kiffen just makes it too easy. The Trojans fall to 7-4 with the loss, and have one quality win. That was last week's victory over Arizona. Tell me again how Lane Kiffen has proven he's a good college coach. With all the talent at USC, grab me a set of headphones and I could go 7-4 there. That would be a 3-4 record since USC got into the meat of their schedule starting in October.
