Bzdelik says Chennault broke his left foot in the second half of an 89-79 season-opening loss to Stetson on Friday night.
Chennault had six points in 13 minutes of his first college game.
The news is tough for Wake Forest, some had Chennault as a player that would move into the starting lineup before the year was over. This sets back the freshman point guard quite a bit. At best, Chennault will miss 2-3 conference games, and will be significantly behind when he returns. CJ Harris will be the point guard for Wake Forest, and likely Gary Clark would be the next best ball handler for the Deacs.
