The Best Week 11 Games in College Football

The Cam Newton saga is easily college football's top story, and well it should be. The end result could have far reaching effects not only for Auburn, but also the Heisman and National Title races. There are still games to be played this week. Let's check out what's going on, and provide some predictions.

Last Week 7-4
Overall 48-29

Saturday 11/13

Miami (6-3) at Georgia Tech  (5-4) 12:00 Raycom

Which Miami will show up, the one that smoked North Carolina or the one the lost to Virginia? Jackets are without Joshua Nesbitt, but showed some guts in their loss at Virginia Tech. The defense is starting to get Al Groh's 3-4 scheme.

All About Sports Prediction: Georgia Tech 27 Miami 20

#15 Utah (8-1) at Notre Dame (4-5) 2:30 NBC

I know the Utes got hammered by TCU, but this is a good team. The Horned Frogs just happen to be an outstanding team. Brian Kelly's first season at Notre Dame has been a nightmare.

All About Sports Prediction: Utah 34 Notre Dame 24

Texas Tech (5-4) at #19 Oklahoma (7-2) 3:30 ABC Regional

Texas Tech is fresh off an upset of Missouri. Oklahoma lost at Texas A&M where they looked totally disinterested in the game. If this was in Lubbock, I'd be tempted to call an upset.

All About Sports Prediction: Oklahoma 31 Texas Tech 20

Penn St (6-3) at #8 Ohio St. (8-1) 3:30 ABC Regional

That was a great scene in Happy Valley when Joe Paterno won his 400th game. The Nittany Lions have improved this year, but they aren't ready to win in Columbus.

All About Sports Prediction: Ohio St. 35 Penn St. 21

#16 Virginia Tech (7-2) at North Carolina (6-3) 3:30 ABC Regional
Frank Beamer always gets his teams to play their best football in the 2nd half of the year. UNC WR Dwight Jones is quickly becoming a star and the Hokies can't let him get loose the way FSU did.

All About Sports Prediction: Virginia Tech 30 North Carolina 27

Georgia (5-5) at Auburn (10-0) 3:30 CBS

Georgia should never ever be 5-5. What a waste of talent in Athens. Auburn has it's own issues trying to focus on winning the SEC and getting into the national title with all the Cam Newton stuff going on.

All About Sports Prediction: Auburn 38 Georgia 27

#17 Mississippi St. (7-2) at #11 Alabama (7-2) 7:15 ESPN2

Can Mississippi St. actually take down a team from Alabama on the field and not just in the press? Did I just say that? They really are going after Cam Newton it appears. The Tide will provide bigger problems.

All About Sports Prediction: Alabama 30 Miss. St. 21

#22 South Carolina (6-3) at #24 Florida (6-3) 7:15 ESPN

It's November. That's when South Carolina becomes mediocre at football no matter who coaches, plays, or how the season started. Florida is starting to look like... well Florida.

All About Sports Prediction: Florida 27 South Carolina 17

#12 Oklahoma St (8-1) at Texas (4-5) 8:00 ABC Regional

I'm simply fascinated by the collapse of Texas. They are just a year removed from playing for the national title and it isn't like Mack Brown didn't recruit the last few years. When I pick them they lose, so I when pick against them they'll naturally beat a good Cowboy team

All About Sports Prediction: Oklahoma St. 37 Texas 20

Clemson (5-4) at Florida St. (6-3) 8:00 ABC Regional

Florida St. can't stop the pass. Clemson can't throw or catch it with any consistency. Winner still has a shot at the ACC Atlantic. I'm going with the home team.

All About Sports Prediction: Florida St. 20 Clemson 17

USC (6-3) at #18 Arizona (7-2) 8:00 ABC Regional

The Trojans probably shouldn't have beat Arizona St. at home last week. Arizona is better than Arizona St. and the game isn't at USC this time. USC should be better on defense than what they are.

All About Sports Prediction: Arizona 31 USC 23
