From BC's official website...
Seniors Biko Paris and Joe Trapani each scored 18 points, and junior Reggie Jackson totaled 16 points and 11 assists to lead Boston College to an 85-58 exhibition victory over Philadelphia University before 2,350 fans in Conte Forum.
The game gave fans their first chance to see new head coach Steve Donahue's imprint on the program. The Eagles shot 15-for-33 from three-point range, sinking nine treys in the first half.
Senior Corey Raji recorded 15 points and eight rebounds, while junior Dallas Elmore rounded out the team's list of double-figure scorers with 10 points.
I watched a few minutes of this game a few things I picked up...
- This isn't the BC flex offense you've seen in years past. If there was one offensive style I'd compare it to it would be Duke's. There is a freedom in the offensive movement.
- The names on the back of the jerseys and headbands are gone. Whether its something done by Donahue or not, I'm not sure, but its clear there is a new regime in town.
- This team is what it was a year ago. For the most part the 2 newcomers aren't going to make an impact, but there are some good parts that remain.
