Glen Rice, Jr. scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds, and redshirt freshman Kammeon Holsey hit two big free throws late to give Georgia Tech a 71-68 overtime victory over Clark Atlanta in an exhibition Friday night at Alexander Memorial Coliseum.
The two teams battled back and forth all night, forcing eight lead changes and eight ties.
Yellow Jacket guard Iman Shumpert gave Tech a three-point lead with 41 seconds left to play, but Clark Atlanta junior guard David Brown hit a 3-pointer with 14 seconds left to send the game to overtime.
Late in the extra frame, Brown hit another big 3-pointer to put the visitors up by one with just over a minute remaining. Shumpert responded quickly for the Jackets, putting in a tough layup in traffic to give Tech the lead for good.
Clemson 96 Belmont Abbey 57

Sophomore forward Noel Johnson led six Clemson double figure scorers with 14 points and Bobo Baciu (pronounced BYE-Choo) recorded a double-double in just 17 minutes to lead Clemson to a 96-57 victory over Belmont Abbey in an exhibition basketball game on Friday night.
It was the final tune-up for the Tigers, who open the Brad Brownell era next Friday night against Western Carolina at 8:00 PM at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Johnson scored his 14 points in 25 minutes and his night included a pair of three-point goals. Senior guard Demontez Stitt added 13 points on 5-6 shooting, while fellow guard Andre Young added 12 points.
Clemson had three double figure scorers off the bench, led by Baciu, who had 10 points and 10 rebounds. The 7-2 junior center made 4-5 from the field and had four offensive rebounds to go with three blocked shots in his 17 minutes of play. Freshman guard Cory Stanton, the only freshman on this year's Clemson team, scored 11 points and Bryan Narcisse added 10 points and seven rebounds.
Wake Forest 84 Guilford 44

Travis McKie turned in an impressive Joel Coliseum debut, as the freshman forward scored 24 points on 9-of-10 shooting to lead Wake Forest to an 84-44 exhibition win over Guilford College on Friday evening.
McKie had an impressive stat line all-around. The Richmond, Va. native was a perfect 3-for-3 from three-point range and went 3-of-4 at the free throw line. He also pulled down seven rebounds, had two steals and an assist and did not commit a turnover.
Fellow freshman J.T. Terrell scored 16 points on the night and led the Demon Deacons with seven assists and four steals.
Sophomore C.J. Harris, Wake's lone returning starter, chipped in 13 points on 5-of-6 shooting and dished out four assists.
Freshman Carson Desrosiers led the Deacons on the boards with a game-high 11 rebounds. He also added four blocks off the bench.
Junior Ty Walker finished with nine rebounds, a team-high six blocks and seven points.
Senior Gary Clark, who was recently named a team captain along with Harris, scored nine points and tallied six assists and a pair of blocks.

The Deacons had just nine of its 15 total players in uniform for the game, including six scholarship players. Tony Chennault, Ari Stewart and Melvin Tabb sat out the contest with minor injuries. Nikita Mescheriakov and Spencer Jennings did not suit up due to NCAA transfer rules.
