Forsyth Country Day (NC) junior standout Tyler Lewis has reached a decision. He will play college basketball in the Atlantic Coast Conference after committing to NC State during an unofficial visit.
"Tyler has actually committed to NC State," said Forsyth Country Day head coach Craig Dawson. "Going down there for his visit he felt like they were the leader and he wanted to see if it was a good fit. He wanted to talk with them about how he fit into the offense and wanted to get a feel for the other guys on the team. He was able to hang out with a bunch of their players like Ryan Harrow, and he just loved it. He loved everything about it.
"It's not too far from home, and it's ACC basketball. He has two coaches there in coach Lowe and coach Towe who aren't that much bigger than him, coach Towe is actually smaller, and they understand his game and take him for how how he plays. They made him a priority and that really stood out to Tyler, and I couldn't be happier for him."
