Ponder (19-of-31, 170 yards, two touchdowns) broke the bursa sac on his right elbow during the first quarter. Although the senior did not blame his performance on the injury, coaches and players said he was in pain.
"We're really battered right now," coach Jimbo Fisher said. "We're banged and bruised pretty good. We've had a couple of big games emotionally. We need to get our feet back on the ground, get our bearings."
Ponder hurting. Something to keep an eye on, though it's not expected to prevent him from playing against NC State.
