After five weeks away, Virginia Tech is back in both major polls. Both the USA Today/ESPN Coaches and AP Top 25 polls have the Hokies at No. 23.
Both polls are very similar this week. The top nine teams are the same in both polls, as well as the bottom five, which includes newcomers Texas, Virginia Tech, Mississippi State and Miami.
The Hokies and Canes represent two of the three ranked ACC teams, with Florida State leading the pack at No. 16 in the AP and No. 17 in the coaches. North Carolina and Georgia Tech were listed as receiving votes in both polls while NC State also received votes in the AP.
