On Saturday in Death Valley, the Canes were able to take care of business in regulation time unlike the last few meetings with the Tigers all ending up in overtime. The Cane defense continues to show the ACC and the rest of the country they are a forced to be reckoned with. This hard hitting defense set the tone in the game creating 6 turnovers vs. Clemson this past weekend. Miami fans are excited and the heat is turning up in South Florida
Jacory Harris Banged up Again?!
Jacory Harris still has not back down from his gunslinging play. This game could of been a blow out with another pair of interceptions Jacory put up in the redzone that could of lead to scores. However, if Jacory starts holding back and stops throwing the ball around then some of the other spectacular throws he makes in cover might not ever happen.
Message boards have been starting some rumors and repeating what Gino Torretta allegedly told some fans that Jacory had a torn labrum in his non throwing shoulder. This sparked talk about the possibility of Jacory not playing this weekend vs Florida State. On Monday that rumor was shot down by the Miami Herald after they spoke with Jacory's father saying that Jacory will be fine. My opinion from seeing Jacory's toughness in the past is that there is nothing that will stop Jacory from playing unless he cannot walk.
Leonard Hankerson
The picture above is from the touchdown catch when he burned 2 Clemson defensive backs. This game was a breakout game for him and the best game he has had so far this season. If that performance does not make opposing fans believe he is first round talent and a future NFL star then I am not sure what will. Leonard is one of the hardest working Canes and it is paying dividends. Former Miami Dolphin great wide receiver Mark Duper has been a personal coach for Leonard improving his routes and it is showing this season.
