The Blue Devils 2011 PG Recruit from out of Dematha High School, who will finish his high school career at Oak Hill Academy has received the results from his MRI and has suffered a partial tear of his ACL.

MRI results on Monday showed that Cook suffered a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and will be forced to sit out between 90 to 120 days. He will have surgery on Friday.

According to orthopedic specialist Dr. James E. Gilbert, who also serves as the personal physician of the U.S. national soccer team, Cook’s knee “will be stronger than ever” upon recovery.

He is expected to make a full recovery, but may miss his scheduled official visit to Duke. We will have more on this situation as it develops, but all Cook fans can breath a sigh of relief that he won’t miss his entire senior season.
