Michael Gbinije, Team Takeover
Gbinije had a strong cast around him, which gave him plenty of opportunities to get looks. But the senior didn’t waste his chances. He showed a fluid jumper and a willingness to take the ball strong to the hoop, not to mention an ability to finish after contact. Gbinije, committed to Duke, is the nation’s No. 29 recruit in the ESPNU 100 and made a strong impression on the Boost Mobile Elite 24 selection committee.
Austin Rivers, Each 1 Teach 1
His team was beatable … until he showed up. Once Rivers was on the floor, the team didn’t lose again. The senior helped his squad win twice in the televised games, and his mere presence on the floor opened up opportunities for teammates. Rivers showed again why he's No. 2 in the ESPNU 100 with a legit chance to be No. 1 before the end of his senior season.
