Three of the “Wolfpack Four” that were arrested for smoking weed at a College Inn residence back in April had their charges dropped today by the judge hearing the case. He ruled the officer conducted an illegal search of the premises because of his lack of a warrant and because the officer didn’t make his presence known prior to the search.
George Bryan had his charges continued, as he faces an additional charge of operating a residence for the purposes of distributing an illegal substance (or something along those lines).
This is good news for State, needing some in the wake of news that Rashard Smith is out for the year. It also means O’Brien is free of the burden to publicly punish these four players beyond the in-house punishment I’m sure they’ll have to continue to endure in the coming months.
