He visited Rogers last Tuesday in Apex, where Rogers, a former All-America, is attempting to battle back from a dirt-bike crash in 2008 that damaged his spinal cord and left him paralyzed from the neck down.
The two are acquaintances from their days in the NBA, Rogers as a player for 12 years and Bzdelik as a scout and coach for 17.
"It was one of the most enjoyable afternoons I've spent in a long, long time," Bzdelik said. "We reminisced and laughed over a lot of mutual experiences that we had in the NBA, the people that we know, the coaches and players. It was informative, rewarding and inspiring to me, with his spirit and knowledge.
