Today, we're excited to debut our new SCACCHoops.com Message Board. I've put a lot of hard work into developing the new boards and hope you find it something that is easy to use, easy to share, and most of all easy to enjoy. I tried to make this system different than most 3rd party systems that you see plugged into other sites, while maintaining the features that most like to see.
- First and foremost, you can use your Twitter, Facebook, or SCACC Hoops login to post. If you're like me you have too many logins, so we're hoping to help you with that.
- Since we allow Twitter or Facebook logins, you will know exactly who the person posting is in most cases. If a particular ACC player stops by and uses their Twitter account to post, then we know exactly who it is. Each post will have a "Login Verification" tag which will tell you how the user logged in. In other words, there is no hiding behind some anonymous username if you see that Login Verification.
- You'll see as you login with your Twitter, Facebook, or SCACC Hoops login that you will have a posting status assigned. You're login status will start at "Manager" until you have 10 posts at which point you'll become a "Walk-On". You're status will again change at 50 posts, but you'll have to wait and see what is next. Along the way you will see different numbers of significance such as at 344 posts, you will be "Johnny Rhodes" the ACC's all-time steals leader. Rhodes finished with 344 career steals.
- There are 3 different views to our message boards. Our news articles will automatically get posted as a thread. You can opt to see only news articles, only threads that are started on the message boards, or by default you will see both.
- If you navigate to a news article on our home page and post a comment, it will automatically be posted on our Message Boards as well.
The system is new and has been through our Beta testing, but I'm sure there will be kinks along the way. If you run into any problems, please send me an email at webmaster@scacchoops.com. Please do the same if you have any suggestions or questions.
I hope you enjoy the new Message Boards! Let us know what you think.
