Joshua McKie
While everyone, from the so called experts to the football magazines, are drooling over what head coach Butch Davis has done with the defense we all know that the big question mark going into 2010 season is the offense. A couple of days ago that side of the ball took another hit as redshirt freshman Joshua McKie decided to play ball somewhere else. From a small post on Inside Carolina the young man from Mauldin, S.C. will be leaving Chapel Hill once the second summer session is over but as not decided where he is going to go.
I know that this might be nothing in the overall scheme of things, but when you know that it will be the offense that needs to step it up losing any member of the department is not a good thing. The offense needs competition in order to get better, which means there has to be more and more players at each position, McKie leaving isn’t going to help that. Hopefully all things will smooth out and in the end T.J. Yates and Co. will be able to do what is needed in order to be a Top 15 team this year.
